This month, Gallup continued to release analyses based on their Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index. They claimed that in the "U.S., churchgoers boast better mood, especially on Sundays." The word "boast" may be entirely appropriate as the survey continues to suffer from the fault that twice as many claim to go to church as actually do.
They also released their findings on which states are supposedly the most religious and the least religious. (Mississippi Is Most Religious U.S. State) As both the top ten list (most religious states) and bottom ten list (least religious states) are based on those that self-report as very religious, the standings should be viewed as highly questionable.
