Can you please confirm, What is a Patriarch ?

What duties and powers does he have ?

Is a Patriarch a Pope with same rights to Create Bishops and Cardinals as the Pope of Rome does!

The Patriarch replies:

Mrs. Coupe.

In the context of The Universal Church Truimphant of the Apathetic Agnostic, a Patriarch or a Matriarch is a head of the Church.

We have two levels of Matriarchs and Patriarchs

One is the head of the Apathetic Agnostic Church worldwide.

Those one level below are heads of the Church within specific countries, states and provinces.

The duties and responsibilities are to support our fellow members of the church.

All our Patriarchs and Matriarchs do have the power to ordain (not create) Bishops. And the Patriarch of the Church does have power to elect (not create) regional Matriarchs and Patriarchs.

However, we are quite unlike the Catholic Pope in important respects. Our church treats men and women equally, thus a woman can be head of our Church. Also, we claim no special "ex cathedra" powers. We might advise people on moral issues, but we do not direct them. We are not required to be celibate. And we do not collect money for what we do.

I hope that answers your questions to your satisfaction.
