The question of raising children without religion has been raised several times. And I have several times noted that I consider it essential that parents pass on not just their agnosticism, but a rational for agnosticism to protect the children from the overwhelming presence of religion and religious symbolism in day-to-day life.
The purpose of this little article is to provide some possible resources - books for parents to read, and for their children to read. But don't just give a book to the child - be prepared to discuss it. All links are to the book on the US Amazon site - but it may be worthwhile to shop around.
